this is me

i’m abdillahi. i live in canada, where i work as a software engineer.

i got into programming because i loved solving problems and building things. when i was younger, i was always curious about how systems worked and how they could be better. though i never finished all my early projects, i got hooked on programming.

after school, i started working as a software engineer. i’ve built tools that millions of people use, worked at startups in biotech and fintech, and started my own projects. i love programming because it’s so powerful. you can build almost anything you can imagine.

i love learning new things and am always working on something. if you want to build something together or just want to connect, feel free to reach out.

things i've made

here are some things i've built over the years. many of them are open-source, so if you see something that interests you, check out the code.

always keep learning

i love learning new things. here's a selection of some of the things i've been learning lately:

arabic
september 2025

been learning arabic for the past few months. challenging but rewarding.

unreal engine 5
august 2025

explored ue5 for game development. unreal engine's blueprint system and graphics capabilities are pretty impressive.

llms and model deployment
june 2025

diving deeper into large language models and how to deploy them in production. fascinating how they work under the hood.
