this is me

iโ€™m abdillahi. i live in canada, where i work as a software engineer.

i got into programming because i loved solving problems and building things. when i was younger, i was always curious about how systems worked and how they could be better. though i never finished all my early projects, i got hooked on programming.

after school, i started working as a software engineer. iโ€™ve built tools that millions of people use, worked at startups in biotech and fintech, and started my own projects. i love programming because itโ€™s so powerful. you can build almost anything you can imagine.

i love learning new things and am always working on something. iโ€™ve gotten back into writing too, essays and reflections on how we think and choose. you can read them here. if you want to build something together or just want to connect, feel free to reach out.

here are some things i've built over the years. many of them are open-source, so if you see something that interests you, check out the code.
